Who can apply to the DNA program?

Startups in the technology areas of Bosch interest such as Block Chain, Robotics, Enterprise IT Automation, Next Gen Mobility, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality and others. Preferably startups which have MVP/Prototype ready and are not in idea stage in terms of maturity.

What is the duration of the program?

16 weeks

What is the selection process?

Startups apply online. The applications are evaluated and shortlisted applicants are invited for a face-to-face pitch session with Bosch Business Units Leadership. The final selection is based on the strength of the business idea/plan, team capabilities, and strategic fit to Bosch focus areas.

What support will Bosch DNA provide the startup during the program?

Bosch support to startups include: Business defined problem statements Mentors & Domain expert support to work on the Problem statement Access to Bosch Accelerator space Access to Bosch Labs, on as required basis Training & Bootcamps on topics of interest – Ex. Business Model, Legal aspects, Finance Opportunity to engage with Bosch Business Units

What kind of commitment does Bosch expect from the startup?

Participation throughout the 16 week program Team member presence to work on the problem statements, attend the Bootcamp sessions Willingness to work with Bosch post the 16 weeks based on successful validation Open to Engagement model structuring – ex. licensing –in, Joint GTM, etc. Open to Bosch product / solution industrialization process, including requisite certifications

Who from the startup team do you expect to participate in the program?

Founders: to attend the Induction & Graduation sessions, attend the Bootcamps, updates & presentations to Bosch Leaders & Customers, structuring engagements Tech Leads: for problem statement validation, pilots.

Do start-ups need to work from DNA premises during the program?

The startups could use the DNA space as optional, however are required to attend the Nurture workshop, trainings, meetings with Mentors & Bosch counterparts(Bosch entities both India & other countries)

Do startups have to be based out of Bangalore?

No. The program is open to startups across India. They may choose to work from a remote location (on a case-to-case basis) but should be willing to travel to Bangalore for regular pre-defined touchpoints.

Does DNA provide accommodation during the program?

No. Startups need to make their own lodging and travel arrangements.

Does Bosch take equity in startups as part of the program?

No. Bosch is interested only in the partnership with the startups and help them in their entrepreneurial journey.
